Mini explorers love our woodland playscape with its woven log bridge, stepping stones and tree swings – all highlighted on an illustrated story map – which also gives information on woodland wildlife.

Our farm trail takes you through fields and woods, across bridges and over streams. We’ve got scavenger hunt bags – for pre-schoolers and primary school children – to help them explore nature. And if you’ve got really little ones, we’ve baby carrier backpacks you can borrow.

A great stop-off point (and an incentive for weary legs) is Cassie’s caravan in the riverside hamlet of St Winnow. Here, native Texan, Cassie, sells delicious homemade tortillas, cream teas, cakes and ice creams.
