FAQs

Some questions you may have

If you’re planning to stay with us, or you’ve already booked, you may have some questions.  We’ve answered some of the most common ones below, but  – if there’s any information you can’t find on our website –  then please contact us, we’re very happy to help.

What are our changeover days?

For week-long holidays, our changeover day is Friday.  For short breaks it can be on a Friday or Monday, giving you the option of a 3, 4 or 7 night break.

What about Christmas & New Year?

Christmas and New Year weeks start on 21st & 28th December, where we offer 7 night festive stays.

What are our arrival & departure times?

Please arrive from 3pm onwards and we ask you to depart by 10am.

Are there any additional charges?

No, the holiday price is inclusive of all facilities and activities, excluding Pony Poppets and EV charging.

What additional items can I request?

Cot with mattress sheet (please bring your own cot bedding)
Bed guards
Highchairs
Booster seats

Can I ask my supermarket to deliver?

Yes you can. Don’t forget to give the cottage name on the delivery instructions. Also please make sure you book a delivery time slot when you know you will be here to accept delivery.

When do you feed the animals with the children?

We’ll let you know in your pre-arrival email.

During school holidays: Saturdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9am.

During term times: Saturdays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 9am.

Do you still do animal feeding in the winter?

Yes, animal feeding continues throughout the year. When the weather gets really cold and wet we bring the goats, pigs and ponies inside the barns.

When do you do pony rides?

Mondays and Wednesdays from 9am, during the summer months only (June, July & August)

Is WiFi available?

Yes, it’s free and available in all the cottages and facilities. We have starlink which is usually fast and reliable.

Do you accept dogs?

Yes we do, subject to our pet policy. We ask that your dog is kept on a lead around the cottages, and generally kept away from the farm animals. There’s plenty of space to walk your dog off-lead away from the farm animals, on the farm trail.

When can I use the heated indoor swimming pool and hot tub garden?

Our pool & hot tub is open all year around from 7am to 10pm, except on Fridays when closed for cleaning.

During school holidays we have ‘open swim’ sessions each day where you can use the pool and hot tub as many times as you like, sharing with the other eight cottages on site. You can also pre-book up to 1 x 1-hour private swimming pool session and 1 x 1-hour hot tub session each day via our handy web-app, having exclusive use of the faclities to yourself and your family for that hour.

During term times, you can pre-book up to 2 x 1-hour private swimming pool sessions and 2 x 1-hour hot tub sessions each day via our handy web-app.

What do I need to bring?

If you are coming out of season wellies are a good idea for animal feeding. For everything else it’s probably best for us to list what we provide.
