A family holiday at Tredethick is just that – a holiday for the whole family. And whether you’ve got a babe in arms, a toddler in tow or an energetic pre-schooler, we’ve got things pretty well covered.
Kitted out for kids
Take our eight lovely cottages. Each one is designed to be as child-friendly as possible. Six of the eight cottages are stair-free, while the others have stairgates.
And to help save on your packing, we can provide you with plenty of baby and toddler-friendly kit including:
Each cottage also has its own safe, enclosed garden, so even the most adventurous toddler will be kept safely contained! Head over to the play barn and you’ll find a shelf full of story books – invariably more exciting than your own. And you can borrow buckets and spades from our giant indoor sandpit plus buy fishing nets from our farm shop – perfect for a trip to the beach. Not that you’ll be in any hurry to leave. For little ones, life on the farm is one big adventure.
Inclusivity and access
Creating a supportive environment and treating everyone with care and consideration and is at the heart of or holidays. We welcome families with additional needs and aim to provide the best holiday we can for all. Take a look at our Inclusivity and access page and full access statement.
Fun on the farm
Get the day off to a flying start with a spot of animal feeding. Our very friendly animals love getting their breakfast from our smallest guests. In fact, it’s often hard to tell who produces the loudest squeals of excitement – our happy pigs or the children. Then there are ponies to ride and mini-tractors to pedal – perfect for budding farmers. And besides our outdoor play park and special balance bike track, we’ve an indoor play barn – great if the weather misbehaves. Our indoor soft play room gets enthusiastic reviews from parents – for its adult and child-friendly features – as does our fabulous indoor heated pool-with-a-view.
Out and about
If you do decide to go exploring, our farm is just a wellie’s throw (or less than a 20-minute drive) from some stunning child-friendly beaches, picture-book castles and amazing attractions such as the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. You’ve also got a wealth of gorgeous walks and cycle trails on your doorstep, perfect for little legs. And if you don’t feel like cooking after a busy day, you can always raid our farm shop, which is filled with goodies such as Cook! meals, tasty local produce and tractor-decorated Tredethick pasties handmade in Lostwithiel.
