Booking policy during the Covid-19 pandemic

During any Covid-19 national lockdown periods, we will offer to reschedule your booking or provide a refund if this isn’t possible.  If you are unable to travel – due to Covid restrictions in your home area, illness or self-isolation – this cancellation will need to be covered by your own holiday insurance.

Covid-19 safety at the farm

Tredethick is all about families spending time together.  You only have to look at our latest reviews to feel reassured that we continue to offer a great guest experience to families in this new era.  When we are open, all our facilities are open.  Every single one.

We are lucky: our cottages are separate from each other with individual garden space, and surrounded by acres of fields and woodlands which you are most welcome to enjoy.   Our new nature playscape makes exploring the farm even more fun.

We have the ‘Good To Go’ Visit England kitemark to signify that we adher to the respective Government and public health guidance and we review our COVID-19 risk assessment and required processes on a regular basis.

These include:

Enhanced hygiene procedures. Hand sanitiser dispensers and hand-washing facilities are located at convenient points around the farm. See the image below for locations.

Enhanced cottage and site cleaning measures. Our housekeeping team  follow COVID-19 cleaning guidances issued by the Professional Association of Self-Caterers.  Our experienced housekeepers are provided with PPE and virucidal cleaning products.  Busy areas around the farm are cleaned with enhanced frequency.  Our self check-in time is now 4pm, to allow time to clean according to these protocols.

Social distancing. Staff and guest families at the farm are asked maintain two metres distance on-site, and to remember the Rule of Six for indoor and outdoor gatherings.  There are signs to remind us all, dotted around the farm.

Adapting animal feeding and facilities. There are two animal feeding sessions for three household groups during the week.  To comply with the current outdoor Rule of Six, each household keeps at least one metre apart which is easy to effect in the great outdoors.  There is a separate pony ride session for guest families on Wednesdays (or Mondays for some short breaks).  You have the opportunity to visit our friendly animals throughout the daytime in their outdoor paddocks.

Our balance bike track, play park, hot tub garden, farm trail and farm shop are open, with COVID-19 safety measures in place. Our indoor pool is open and bookable for exclusive, one family at-a-time slots, from 7am to 8pm.   Tredethick’s soft play centre is open, and the ball pool has been replaced with a new wipe-clean agility unit.

Our facilities are used at your own risk and guests are asked to follow guidelines outlined in our guest charter.

Information on days out, meals in and more.  We send a digital guestbook to all guests a week before their stay.  This includes self check-in information and current visitor information.  You can click on the destination links provided in the guestbook to check current visitor information and access booking slots where needed.  Please do contact us with any questions.

Currently we welcome families from Tier 1 and Tier 2 UK Coronavirus alert levels.  Please contact us before booking if you are from a Tier 3 region. Please adhere to the Tier regulations for the region you live in, on and off the farm.

We look forward to welcoming you and your family to beautiful Tredethick,

Ashlyn and Jenny
