Great Beaches

We do great beaches

Where to start! Cornwall has some of the best beaches in the UK, if not the world. There’s a huge variety too, so you’ll have no trouble finding a beach that’s perfect for you and your family. To help you, we’ve listed a few of our, and our guests, favourites.

South Coast Beaches
With sheltered sandy coves, perfect for paddling and building sandcastles, these beaches are especially baby-and-toddler-friendly.

Polkerris
A sheltered sandy cove with a funky, child-friendly restaurant and beach shop. A real favourite with guests.

Readymoney
A small sandy beach on the edge of Fowey.

Porthpean
A lovely sheltered beach with a car park and beach shop.

Lantic Bay
A truly stunning location!

Gorran Haven
A great beach for small children with a beach shop, café and toilets.

Port Holland
Our favourite, with great sand and rock pools. Parking and toilets are right by the beach and you can get tea, coffee and ice creams from one of the beach-front cottages.

North Coast Beaches
The beaches of the Atlantic-facing North Coast are brilliant for body boarding and surfing.
Most have wide expanses of sand and are great for rock-pooling at low tide.

Trevone
Probably the best for small children, it’s fairly compact and has a stream running onto it that children love to play in. There’s a café and toilets.

Mawgan Porth
A dramatic setting with great facilities.
Lantic Bay
Watergate Bay
Home to Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Cornwall and the Extreme Sports Academy. Why not treat yourselves to a Fifteen breakfast before hitting the beach?

Daymer Bay
A lovely expanse of sand where the Camel Estuary meets the sea.
